After each level, you can save your pictures into your own personal album separate from your Photodex, in this personal album you can edit photos to make them look nicer, put stickers on them, and share them online using Nintendo Switch Online, take a look at the global leaderboards to see where you stack up, against other Pokémon photographers from all over the world.However, your main mission is still to help professor Mirror so at each level, you must photograph one Pokémon at least 4 times and have the professor evaluate them for the best picture. The Photodex is the Pokémon’s snap’s version of a Pokedex in order to complete it you must photograph every Pokémon in the Lental region.

Assisting you in this photography mission is the all-terrain vehicle NEO-ONE, explore the different islands of the Lental region, from harsh deserts, lush jungles, and even underwater caves, anywhere the Pokémon considers a natural habitat.

You assist professor Mirror by photographing Pokémon in their natural habitat in the islands of the Lental region which the phenomena seem to be exclusive to. In Pokémon Snap you journey throughout the Lental region to assist professor Mirror on an investigation of a mysterious occurrence called the Illumina phenomenon where plants and Pokémon glow inexplicably.
